Side effects of Trazadone!

I took my meds last night at about 9:00PM & I went to bed at about 10PM.

I fell asleep easily & slept really well. Until, I woke up at 5AM. I couldn’t move the right hand side of my body, I was crying with the pain.

It’s now an hour later & my right arm is just not functioning. I cannot move it at all! Not one inch. If I try to lift it it’s like it’s not attached & I have no control over it.

It’s a horrible side effect, but the tablet works well.. What do I do?

  1. How long have you been taking it? I’ve switched meds dozens of times. Usually for me, if I suffer from one or more of the side effects. It lessons over time.
If it is working, it may be worth the momentary pains. Current one I’m on now had some rough initial effects. Good luck

    1. Ive been on it for a while but my meds went up to 200mg. Ive been on all the sleeping tabs possible. But my body gets used to them & then they dont work! I think im going to stick these tabs out. Think they might be worth the pain!

  3. I was on trazadone for (too) many years. It does tend to put you into a deep sleep and if you are dealing with pain issues your body needs to move around. But the trazadone puts you in a relaxed state where you may stay in one place. If that is on your arm, then yes, it will go numb and sore. I had it in my shoulders, legs, arms, neck. It is a side affect, specially as you go into higher doses. If it continues, I would talk to your doctor. I am only a patient, not a professional, but I have experienced this all to often myself. (hugs)
